The company is looking to hire a Cook (PM Shift) for their food service team. This entry-level line cook position is ideal for individuals familiar with basic cooking principles and techniques, possessing a solid understanding of fundamental food safety practices, and capable of operating standard kitchen equipment effectively. The cook will play a vital role in supporting SpaceX by preparing quality food offerings that enhance employee morale and productivity. The Cook will be responsible for daily food preparation, setting up and operating a cooking station, and ensuring the workspace is clean, safe, and well-maintained. Working primarily during the second shift, from 11 AM to 9:30 PM, cooks will need to carry out various tasks such as prepping ingredients, cooking and plating dishes according to specified standards, and cleaning kitchen equipment and storage areas. This role demands attention to detail, a strong team mindset, and a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced corporate environment. Pay ranges from $23.00 to $25.50 per hour depending on experience, qualifications, and job-related skills. • Must be available for 2nd shift: Monday to Friday from 11AM to 9:30 PM
• Ability to carry large heavy items, such as dishes in tubs or trays unassisted (up to 25 lbs.)
• Ability to stand for long periods of time - up to 8 hours a day
• Ability to work all shifts and available for overtime and weekends, as needed
• Ability to perform frequent bending, stooping, and lifting of objects
