The role of Cook at Benchmark is a vital position within the community's food services team. This position is designed for individuals who have a genuine passion for creating nutritious and delicious meals that meet the dietary needs and preferences of senior residents. The cook will be responsible for preparing food in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Benchmark's established policies and guidelines to ensure food safety, quality, and presentation standards are consistently met. - High school diploma or equivalent
- Culinary arts training preferred
- 2 years of dietary experience
- Must have knowledge of dietary procedures, as well as related laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to food service operations
- Must possess leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise professional and non-professional personnel
- Be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- This is primarily a standing position, may need to stand in one place for extended periods of time
