The Food Service Worker position at Brown University Health plays a critical role in supporting the healthcare team by ensuring the timely preparation and distribution of nutritious meals for hospital patients and staff. Under the supervision of the Food Services Supervisor, the ideal candidate will be responsible for carrying out diverse cooking operations in alignment with dietary guidelines and established safety standards such as HACCP and Food Safety Manager certification requirements. This role demands knowledge of culinary techniques, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining food quality, flavor, and appearance. The role is hands-on and requires continuous monitoring of food preparation to ensure all meals meet the nutritional and quality standards required in a medical setting. There is no supervisory responsibility associated with this job, making it ideal for professionals focused on operational excellence in food production without managing teams.
The salary range for this hourly role is $17.69 to $27.90, reflecting the skill and responsibility levels required.
