The role we are seeking to fill is a full-time, non-management position within the Food and Beverage & Culinary department. This position offers an hourly pay range of $32.28 to $33.28, and it involves working onsite at our West Hollywood location. The job is ideal for individuals who possess a strong background in food preparation and culinary standards, along with a passion for contributing to an outstanding guest experience. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing special meals, managing product replacement, and regulating oven, grill, and roaster temperatures to ensure optimal cooking results.
In addition to standard preparation duties, you will play a crucial role in maintaining strict quality control and portion regulation of the food served. This includes defrosting items properly in refrigeration, documenting food inventory, and communicating any support required during peak times to the kitchen management. A significant part of your role will also be notifying the executive chef about surplus ingredients for daily specials and updating food and beverage service staff on rejected products and available special dishes. You will follow all recipes, quality and presentation standards rigorously while adhering to health and safety protocols set by the company.
This position also involves preparing cold dishes and assisting management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, coaching, disciplinary actions, motivation, and employee development. You will serve as a positive example for the team through professional conduct, appearance, and confidentiality. The role requires proactive anticipation of guest service needs, clear and professional communication with colleagues, maintaining positive work relationships, and supporting team goals. Physical demands include standing, walking, stretching, bending, lifting or moving objects up to 25 pounds, and other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.
