We are currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Cook to join our culinary team. Reporting directly to the Director of Culinary Services, this full-time role offers an hourly salary ranging from $24 to $26. The Cook will play a vital role in preparing delicious, high-quality meals that cater specifically to our senior living community, their families, and guests. This position requires familiarity with sanitation regulations and strong food safety compliance to maintain the health standards critical in our communities. The Cook will be deeply involved in studying and following recipes, setting up menus, and ensuring that all dishes meet our elevated quality standards. Beyond food preparation, the role includes the responsibility of accurate record-keeping, managing inventory through receiving and rotation, and adhering strictly to all regulatory compliance guidelines. 
In this role, you will contribute significantly to delivering complete menus tailored to the dietary needs of seniors, including texture-modified food when required. You will monitor every aspect of food preparation, storage, and handling, ensuring protocols such as HACCP and labeling are meticulously observed. Maintaining accurate temperature logs for hot and cold foods, refrigerators, and freezers is another essential aspect of this position, ensuring safety and regulatory adherence.                 - High school diploma or GED accepted
 - One year of related experience in food preparation
 - Current ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain it
 - Ability to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell
 - Ability to lift or carry up to 50 lbs using proper body mechanics
 - Strong organizational and time management skills
