This full-time Cook 4 position is a vital role within the Food and Beverage Team, responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving food in this dynamic, high-quality setting. Reporting directly to the Kitchen Manager or Executive Chef, the Cook 4 will work in an environment that values teamwork, culinary skill, and a commitment to guest satisfaction. The Cook 4 is entrusted with mastering all kitchen stations including plating and expediting. They serve as a key trainer within the kitchen, tasked with educating new and current staff on station assignments and standard recipes, as well as helping cross-train employees to ensure operational flexibility and efficiency. This position requires proficiency in executing and plating menu items, leading kitchen service operations, monitoring ticket times, maintaining quality standards, and responding positively to special orders. In addition to hands-on cooking and preparation duties, the Cook 4 supports management with developing weekly and daily specials, ensuring superior service standards that meet guest and employee expectations. The role demands a focus on exceeding guest satisfaction by swiftly addressing and resolving challenges from expeditors, guests, or team members, thus enhancing the overall dining experience. Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation is also a critical responsibility. The Cook 4 leads and oversees daily cleaning schedules and checklists to uphold a safe and sanitary kitchen environment in compliance with health standards. Daily food preparation includes washing, peeling, cutting, and shredding vegetables and fruits, measuring and mixing ingredients for various dishes, and cooking meats, fish, and other foods using different cooking methods such as baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming. This position also requires tasting and visually inspecting food to guarantee quality and consistency, carving meats, portioning food, and garnishing plates to fulfill orders. The Cook 4 must be capable of stepping into leadership roles during service times, occasionally assuming responsibilities of the sous chef or kitchen manager when necessary.
