The current opportunity is for an overnight prep cook, a full-time position that works the important hours of 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM with an alternating weekend schedule. The prep cook role is essential within the Dietary Services team and supports the nutritional and culinary wellness of residents and staff within the Atlantic Heights Community. This position requires a dependable and self-motivated individual who can efficiently work alone during the overnight shift, preparing the next day’s menu entrees and breakfast for the day shift team. The prep cook contributes to the health and satisfaction of residents by preparing appetizing and healthful food that addresses nutritional requirements and special dietary needs. Duties include reviewing menus in advance, preparing and cooking various meals, inspecting special diet trays for accuracy, coordinating with other departments, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and following food safety and waste disposal policies.
