We are currently seeking a Cook to join our culinary team under the immediate supervision of the Manager on Duty (MOD). This role plays a critical part in the overall operation and success of our kitchen. The Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and packaging food products in accordance with established operational and quality standards. This position demands a commitment to cleanliness, safety, and efficiency to ensure that all food items are produced to the highest standard. The ideal candidate should be flexible with work hours, willing to work irregular schedules including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, and capable of maintaining composure in a fast-paced environment. The Cook will be entrusted with operating various food stations including the dresser, front swamp, back swamp, grill, and food prep stations. This requires strong multi-tasking abilities to manage several responsibilities simultaneously, all while adhering to strict hygiene and sanitation protocols. Daily duties also involve regular cleaning tasks such as removing trash, mopping floors, sweeping, washing dishes and food preparation tools, wiping down counters, sanitizing food preparation areas, cleaning equipment, and properly disposing of used grease. Continuous standing, bending, reaching, and lifting are integral parts of the work environment. Additional responsibilities include addressing any customer or employee complaints by reporting them to the MOD promptly. The role also involves moving and stocking food products weighing up to 50 pounds, which requires physical endurance and careful handling to ensure safety. This position may also include other job-related duties as assigned, emphasizing the value of flexibility and willingness to contribute beyond the core tasks.
