Established in 1957, Invited has built a strong reputation centered on fostering relationships and enriching the lives of its members, guests, and an expansive team of over 17,000 employees. The company owns and operates more than 130 country clubs, city clubs, and athletic clubs, each offering first-class amenities such as championship golf courses, modern workspaces, artisanal cuisine, resort-style pools, state-of-the-art racquet facilities, fitness centers, and much more. Joining Invited means becoming part of an inclusive and vibrant team culture dedicated to excellence and continuous growth. The company values the contributions of each employee and is driven by a purpose of delivering stellar service and memorable experiences to every member and guest. The role of Cook 1 at Invited is an essential entry-level position within this expansive hospitality environment. This position focuses on fundamental cooking and preparation responsibilities, under the mentorship and guidance of more experienced kitchen professionals such as Cook 2, Cook 3, Sous Chefs, and Executive Chefs. As a Cook 1, you will be entrusted with the preparation, organization, and setup of your individual workstation, ensuring compliance with Invited's rigorous quality, cleanliness, and safety standards. Your role includes the execution of basic food prep tasks, maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment, proper storage of ingredients and goods, and assisting in the production of various food and beverage items. You will work closely with team members to support kitchen operations that cater to a variety of events and dining experiences offered by the clubs. The position requires adaptability, a strong willingness to learn, and the ability to maintain consistent food quality and presentation. Expect to prepare salads, entrees, daily specials, and other menu items following specified recipes and techniques. You will also handle ingredients and supplies like condiments, dressings, and soups, ensuring all items are fresh and correctly stored. In addition to food preparation, the Cook 1 role involves critical interaction with both management and guests. You'll be responsible for professional communication about any special needs or quality issues and actively contribute to an atmosphere where members and guests feel valued and accommodated with any special requests. Supporting a positive team environment is a vital aspect of this role, requiring cooperation with colleagues and assisting in delivering the three steps of service—anticipation, fulfillment, and follow-up. This position reports to the Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or Executive Chef and demands flexibility in working hours, including weekends and holidays, to satisfy the club's operational needs. Beyond your direct duties, you are expected to adhere to all company policies, including safety protocols, maintain personal and professional growth through certifications such as Food Handler certifications, and actively participate in team briefings and other communications. Invited offers a competitive total rewards package that scales with your experience, skills, and location. While this listing highlights essential responsibilities and qualifications, there are additional duties that may arise to ensure seamless kitchen and club operations.
