This role is a leadership position within Parker Aerospace’s Fluid Systems Division, which is the premier global provider of fluid management and electronic control systems to the aerospace market. The Fluid Systems Division operates with an annual revenue exceeding $1 billion and has locations in Southern California, New York, Ohio, and Mexico. As a key member of the Division Contracts Team, the successful candidate will manage contracts that vary in scope and complexity, and may also lead negotiations that span multiple divisions. The position is crucial for supporting strategic and tactical goals, ensuring adherence to contract and regulatory compliance policies and procedures. This role involves managing performance of assigned contracts and programs, coordinating internal teams during complex negotiations, and overseeing contract risk management to minimize the company’s cost exposure.
As a leader in this role, you will provide guidance to your team through detailed contract analysis, research, and interpretation. You will advise leadership on contract issues and recommend solutions and strategies to ensure contractual obligations are effectively managed. This includes overseeing task planning across contracts, approving resource demands, and ensuring alignment with program financial reporting practices. Developing, mentoring, and championing professional certification efforts within the contracts management community are key aspects of this role. Additionally, the responsibility for export compliance program execution may fall under this position, involving interaction with customers, regulatory agencies, and government officials to resolve compliance issues and support international business development initiatives such as managing contract terms for non-U.S. customers and suppliers. The successful candidate will coordinate cross-functional training and business meetings to elevate knowledge of contract requirements and policies throughout the division.
Parker Aerospace offers a competitive compensation package with pay ranges for California-based roles between $120,493 and $210,927 annually and participation in an annual incentive program. - Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree required
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience including 4 years in leadership role
- Contracts management certification preferred
- Program Management or relevant certification may be required
- Prior leadership training and experience
- Strong knowledge of contract management and regulations
- Ability to lead process improvements and conduct training
- Proficient with contract management software and business tools
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to handle complex contractual issues and develop solutions
- Experience in international business and export compliance preferred
