The Concierge position at Hope Lodge, operated by the American Cancer Society, is a frontline role that plays a critical part in delivering exceptional guest services. Hope Lodge provides free, temporary lodging to cancer patients and their caregivers who must travel away from home for treatment, ensuring they have a comfortable, supportive environment during their time of need. A high school diploma or equivalent is necessary, with additional education in hospitality management or customer service considered a plus. Previous experience in a related field is preferred, alongside proficient communication skills, computer literacy including reservation systems, and multitasking capabilities. Physical stamina is essential due to the nature of the job, which involves standing, walking, and occasional lifting or moving of luggage. This role offers a starting wage of $18.59 per hour with a schedule from Thursdays to Saturdays, 3 pm to 11 pm. The final compensation package will be based on the candidate's education, experience, and skills, evaluated in a fair and non-discriminatory manner.
