The Concierge role at Waltonwood is a crucial position that embodies the first and last impression visitors and residents experience in the community. As a vital member of the Administrative team, the Concierge plays a significant part in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations by providing exceptional customer service and administrative support. They greet and direct residents, visitors, and staff in a professional and friendly manner, delivering a warm welcome and assisting with various inquiries and requests. The Concierge also manages important communication channels, answering both internal and external phone calls promptly while directing calls or providing information as needed.
A key part of the role involves maintaining the safety, security, and well-being of the community by adhering to established safety and emergency procedures and monitoring the entry and exit of individuals according to strict check-in and check-out protocols. Concierges develop meaningful relationships with residents and their families, fostering a sense of connection, trust, and comfort within the community. They are responsible for administrative and clerical duties such as updating resident rosters, collecting resident charges, supporting department heads and management staff, and ensuring the front desk area remains neat and organized.
This position requires a balanced blend of interpersonal skills, organization, empathy, and attention to detail. Successful Concierges demonstrate strong communication abilities, a customer-focused approach, and compassion toward residents’ needs and feelings.                 - High school diploma or GED preferred
 - proficiency with Microsoft Office and other computer applications
 - knowledge of multiple phone line operations and proper phone etiquette
 - a minimum of 6 months of customer service and clerical experience preferred
 - strong communication and organization skills
 - ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures
 - ability to reach, bend, twist, squat, kneel, push, and pull
 - ability to lift/carry up to 20 pounds
 - ability to perform repetitive movements including simple grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation
 - constant use of manual dexterity, auditory and visual skills and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills
 - constantly sitting, with occasional standing and walking
