Located in Livermore, California, Collins Aerospace is currently seeking a Communications Center Radio Operator to join their Onsite team. The Communications Center Radio Operator will operate various communication equipment such as HF/VHF radios, computers, and telephones to transcribe and relay real-time pilot communications accurately. They will manage transmissions of Air Traffic Control clearances, advisories, and urgent information requests while maintaining consistent communication with Aviation Voice Service Staff and ATC facilities. This role requires maintaining a typing speed of 40 words per minute and the ability to read and interpret communications on multiple monitors for extended periods. The position operates within a 24/7 environment, including mandatory shift work and holidays, emphasizing reliability and flexibility.

Attention to sensory capabilities is essential; candidates must pass vision and hearing assessments, ensuring they can manage prolonged use of monitors, color-coded keyboards, and headphones independently.
