The role of General Manager within Oak View Group is a pivotal leadership position overseeing the food service operations at a designated venue. This role requires a seasoned professional who is adept at managing complex operations including full-time, part-time, and managerial staff to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The General Manager will be accountable for the overall profitability, efficiency, and professionalism of the venue’s food services. Key responsibilities include financial management, labor relations, conflict resolution, policy development, and contract negotiations. Beyond day-to-day management, the General Manager will also play a critical role in revenue generation, seeking new business opportunities both within and outside the venue. This position offers an annual salary ranging from $95,000 to $100,000 and is eligible for bonuses, reflecting the importance of performance in this role. - MA or MS degree or BA or BS with business-related major
- Minimum 5 years management experience in food-related or concessions industry
- Concessions Manager Certificate from the National Association of Concessionaires
- Nationally recognized, advanced food service sanitation training course certification
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with diverse stakeholders
- Ability to make sound business decisions quickly under pressure
- Proficient in English
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office, POS and timekeeping systems
- Team-oriented and able to work in fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of concessions and premium services locations and facility access
- Valid Food Handlers certificate and Alcohol Service Permit (if applicable)
- Thorough understanding of sanitation, food preparation, alcohol service and safety standards
- Strong math skills including percentages
- Responsible cash handling
- High standards of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality
- Ability to work independently
- Union environment experience
- Preferred experience in ball park or stadium settings
- Preferred accounting experience
