This exempt position reports directly to the Director of the Coliseum and holds supervisory responsibilities over Aquaplex staff as needed. As General Manager, you will be responsible for the comprehensive management of facility operations at both the Hampton Aquaplex and Splashdown Park. This leadership role involves overseeing daily operations, managing budgets, expanding aquatic programming, and ensuring safety standards exceed industry best practices. You will develop and promote programs designed to enhance community engagement at local, state, and national levels, including facilitating competitive aquatic events that attract large-scale participation. • Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Recreation, Outdoor Education, or related field
• five years of progressively responsible experience in planning, managing, or directing competitive aquatic facilities or affiliated programs
• five years experience supervising others
• knowledge of swimming pool operations and recreation programming
• knowledge of aquatics budget formulation and grant acquisition
• certified Pool Operator
• certified Aquatics Facility Operator
• First Aid, CPR/AED, Water Safety Instructor certifications
• valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record
• successful background check
