This role is for a Full-time, Non-Management position with a day shift schedule, located on-site at the hotel. The hourly wage for this position is $18.79, reflecting Marriott's commitment to competitive, fair compensation for their associates. The position involves preventative maintenance tasks within guest rooms, meeting rooms, and public spaces, ensuring the environment remains functional, clean, safe, and welcoming to guests. The maintenance work includes comprehensive inspection and upkeep of mattresses, bed frames, upholstery, carpets, walls, lighting fixtures, cement joints, and caulking. The role also requires performing minor repairs such as fixing loose toilet seats, changing light bulbs, filling holes in walls, and other general upkeep duties.
In addition to maintenance, the position requires thorough cleaning of all surfaces in guest rooms, including bathtubs, tiles, floors, walls, windows, and mirrors. Immediate communication with management regarding serious maintenance issues or safety hazards is a critical responsibility. Associates in this position must adhere to Marriott's safety policies and procedures, participate in safety training, and ensure a professional appearance in uniform. They also have the responsibility to maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
The role requires physical capabilities such as standing, sitting, walking for long periods, bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and transporting objects weighing up to 50 pounds unaided, as well as assisting with heavier items.
