The role of the Chef/Kitchen Manager is central to the successful operation of Sodexo Live!'s commissary kitchen. This position involves overseeing the entire production process of meals and grab 'n' go items that are packed for delivery and distribution across various locations. The Chef/Kitchen Manager is responsible not only for food production and quality but also for ensuring strict compliance with Sodexo Culinary standards, including recipe adherence and food presentation. Ensuring food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards such as HACCP are strictly followed is a critical aspect of this role.
This role requires a motivated leader who can develop and inspire a kitchen team of 10 to 15 associates. The Chef/Kitchen Manager must have solid culinary and managerial experience, excellent mentoring and communication skills, and a passion for food and service. Working hours typically are scheduled from either 10 AM to 6 PM or 9 AM to 5 PM, including at least one weekend day, which reflects the operational demands and flexibility needed within the hospitality industry.
