Unidine is currently hiring full-time and part-time Sous Chef positions at its New Glarus Home location in New Glarus, Wisconsin. The company offers competitive pay at $22.00 per hour, along with a $500 sign-on bonus to welcome new team members. Working hours are generally scheduled Monday through Friday, including rotating weekends, from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, with more scheduling details provided during the interview process. As a Sous Chef at Unidine, you will play a critical role in assisting the Executive Chef with preparing and cooking high-quality food items while ensuring compliance with all food safety and sanitation standards. This position requires previous scratch cook experience, emphasizing fresh, made-from-scratch food preparation. You will oversee kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Chef, supervise hourly food-service assistants, and manage kitchen workflows to meet production deadlines and maintain excellent standards of food presentation and portion control. In addition to hands-on cooking, the role involves comprehensive kitchen management duties including scheduling, training, payroll oversight, counseling staff, and facilitating performance reviews. You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workstation and ensuring all kitchen equipment and serving areas are sanitary and safe. This position also involves interacting responsively with customers and team members to ensure a positive dining experience and address any concerns promptly and professionally.
