We are currently seeking an exceptional individual to join our culinary team as a Chef. The Chef will be a key player in delivering an outstanding dining experience in line with Legend's Gold Leaf Dining standards, known for its high food quality and inviting atmosphere. This position is more than food preparation; it involves comprehensive oversight of culinary operations including menu planning, provisioning, budget management, and supervising kitchen and dining staff. The Chef is responsible for crafting nutritious meals tailored to dietary requirements of our senior residents, managing team scheduling and training, maintaining food safety and sanitation standards, and engaging positively with residents on a daily basis. Leadership duties also extend to fulfill roles such as Manager-On-Duty on a rotating basis and stepping in to support culinary team members as needed. • Two years experience cooking in a commercial kitchen preferred
• Experience supervising kitchen staff preferred
• Formal culinary training or associates degree in culinary arts preferred or 5 years of culinary experience
• Current food handling license as required by the state required
