The Chef role at Canteen is an exciting opportunity for culinary professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality food services while supporting client and customer satisfaction. This position typically offers a salary range between $58,000 and $65,000, reflecting the company’s investment in experienced and skilled culinary experts. The Chef will be responsible for providing frontline culinary resources, supporting daily operations, and assisting in the development of innovative menus and culinary programs. In addition to food preparation and event execution, this position may involve scheduling, discipline, and hiring duties within the culinary department, particularly in conjunction with executive chefs. Serving as a key member of the culinary team, the Chef has the chance to influence food quality standards and contribute to cost control measures, purchasing, and catering event management.

                - Associate's degree in Culinary Arts is preferred
 - 1 to 3 years of culinary management experience
 - Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations
 - Hands-on chef experience is required
 - Extensive catering experience is preferred
 - High volume batch cooking and complex food service operations experience is preferred
 - Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
 - ServSafe Certification is preferred
 - Computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products including Excel
