This role is pivotal to DHL's import and export operations, ensuring compliance with all federal and foreign regulations pertaining to the shipment, receipt, and documentation of imported products. The Customs Entry Agent will be responsible for processing entries to U.S. Customs Border Patrol, accurately computing tariffs and price conversions of imported merchandise, and examining critical shipping documents such as invoices, bills of lading, and shipping statements to expedite the release of freight and resolve any shipment delays. The position demands a deep understanding of customs regulations, government agency requirements, and foreign trade agreements. The Customs Entry Agent will collaborate with origin and destination locations to track shipment statuses and manage special handling instructions.
