This part-time Critical Care Transport Emergency Medical Technician (CCT EMT) role offers a unique opportunity for those passionate about emergency medical services and pediatric patient care. The CCT EMT is responsible for the safe operation of the critical care ground ambulance, including routine maintenance such as refueling and checking oxygen and medical air supplies. They play a vital support role to the flight crew in caring for transported patients by assisting in patient assessments, monitoring vital signs, and preparing patients for transport using appropriate medical equipment. The role involves coordination with dispatch, maintaining communication through work phones and radios, and ensuring compliance with CAMTS accreditation standards which underscore the quality and safety of medical transport services.
Additional responsibilities involve ensuring the ambulance is always ready for deployment by cleaning, restocking supplies, and completing necessary checklists.
