The Assistant Event Sales Manager plays a pivotal role within SSA Group, specifically in the Catering department. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this position focuses on stimulating both inbound and outbound sales efforts covering venues and food and beverage services. The Assistant Event Sales Manager is responsible for managing client relationships, generating new business opportunities, and ensuring an exceptional level of customer satisfaction throughout the event planning and execution process. This role demands close collaboration with the General Manager, location partner, catering operations, culinary teams, and other relevant departments to coordinate seamless, professional, and memorable events. The Assistant Manager is expected to develop and execute strategic sales plans, handle client inquiries, prepare contracts and event orders, and oversee all phases of event coordination from setup to post-event follow-up. This position is hourly and non-exempt, with pay commensurate with experience and certification or education.

  • 2+ years of experience in catering sales and/or event planning, preferably in off-site catering, hotel, or cultural attraction venues
  • Knowledge and execution of Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
  • Working knowledge of Tripleseat is a plus
  • Must be 18 years or older
