The seasonal Cashier position at Mazzone Hospitality is based at Hudson Valley Community College located at 80 Vandenburg Avenue, Troy, NY. This role offers a seasonal schedule, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, with additional details provided during the interview process. The hourly wage ranges from $17.00 to $19.00, with an internal employee referral bonus available. Cashiers play a critical role in delivering excellent customer service through efficient and accurate processing of sales transactions. The role involves making cash transactions, managing the cash drawer, issuing change, handling different payment methods including declining balance cards, and managing cash receipts and reports. In addition, cashiers help maintain sanitation standards in food preparation, service, and dining areas. The ideal candidate for the Cashier role should bring prior cashier experience and strong customer service skills. This position requires someone who can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a friendly, service-oriented demeanor. Cashiers are responsible not only for accurate sales transactions but also for monitoring the cafe line purchases, replenishing supplies such as condiments and beverages, and ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the service area. They must adhere to all company service standards, inventory control procedures, and safety regulations including ServSafe compliance. This role may also include general food service duties as assigned.
