The position involves processing payments and managing the required paperwork for transactions involving scrap metal from individual and commercial suppliers. A critical aspect of the role is maintaining efficiency and accuracy to support smooth daily operations. This position may require working intermittently outdoors in various weather conditions, reinforcing the importance of adherence to all Metals Recycling Business Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.\n\nThe Cashier’s responsibilities include handling financial transactions, generating invoices, verifying weights, prices, and documentation, as well as assisting customers by providing accurate information about pricing and accepted materials. In addition to these core duties, the Cashier provides backup support for other roles such as the Office Assistant and Weighmaster, contributing to overall yard operations. This highlights the need for a versatile individual who can manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
