We are currently hiring immediately for a full-time Cashier position located at GE Appliance AP1, 4000 Buechel Bank Road, Louisville, KY 40225. This is a full-time role with a schedule from Monday to Friday, 3:00 am to 9:30 pm, though additional details will be provided upon interview. The pay rate for this position is fixed at $17.00 per hour. This role is ideal for candidates who have cash handling experience and can handle physical tasks such as standing for long periods and lifting up to 20 pounds. The Cashier position involves performing essential cashiering duties including processing cash transactions, verifying the cash drawer, giving change, counting cash receipts, and completing cash reports. The cashier will ensure that transactions are conducted accurately and efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards. This role also involves general food service work and upholding sanitation standards in food preparation, service areas, and dining room facilities. Cashiers must follow company policies on cash and inventory control, and comply with ServSafe and safety requirements to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
The ideal candidate will handle sales transactions quickly and accurately, enter sales data into the cash register, and process various forms of payment including cash and declining balance cards. They will issue receipts immediately to customers and manage cash refunds according to standard procedures. The cashier will interact with customers in a friendly, service-oriented manner, addressing any complaints professionally to ensure customer satisfaction. Additional responsibilities include replenishing condiments, coffee, beverages, and keeping the pastry case stocked, all while maintaining cleanliness of the service area.
