The Career Development Coordinator position at Laredo College is a full-time role within the Academic Affairs division, specifically situated in the Career Services and Innovation Center. This position, offering a salary range of $50,613 to $60,979 annually, plays a central role in supporting and advancing student entrepreneurial success, leadership development, and workforce readiness. The coordinator will oversee all activities of the Center, including managing the Entrepreneurship Incubator, Leadership Development Incubator, and workforce readiness initiatives. This includes coordinating workshops, coaching sessions, networking events, venture competitions, and applied projects that equip students with vital workplace skills such as resume building, interviewing, and professional communication. In addition to direct student engagement, the coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing digital marketing strategies to promote the Center's programs and successes, thereby increasing student participation and fostering community involvement. The individual in this role will also act as a primary contact for students in various incubator and career services programs, providing personalized coaching and resources and ensuring that program effectiveness is continually assessed and improved. The position requires a strategic approach to fostering partnerships with campus offices, local employers, and community organizations to expand student opportunities in entrepreneurship and workforce development. Administrative duties involve managing the logistical and financial aspects of programs, recruiting guest speakers and trainers, creating marketing content, and supporting program compliance with relevant regulations and institutional policies. The Career Development Coordinator may also engage in outreach to recruit students, support alumni tracking, and contribute to professional development and community-building efforts.
