Crystal Mountain Resort is the largest ski resort in Washington, renowned for its stunning mountain environment nestled in National Forest land near Mt. Rainier. As a premier Ikon Pass destination, this resort offers incredible winter sports opportunities and a vibrant community atmosphere. It attracts outdoor enthusiasts from all over who share a passion for skiing, snowboarding, and mountain adventures. The resort is more than just a workplace; it’s a lifestyle destination where employees find camaraderie, fun events, and a supportive culture amid breathtaking natural surroundings. The resort is committed to growing its team with enthusiastic members who are eager to embrace mountain life, enhance their skills, and potentially develop a long-term career in the ski industry. Employees receive a host of benefits including free and discounted ski passes, access to multiple mountain destinations, employee housing availability, paid time off, health insurance options, and an enriching work environment that values personal growth and community involvement. The business unit for this position is Summit House, the resort’s food and beverage hub, where guests enjoy fine dining with spectacular mountain views. The position available is a Busser role, which reports to the Restaurant Manager and Supervisor. The role of the Busser at Crystal Mountain is essential to the smooth operation of the resort’s dining experience. Bussers assist both wait staff and bartenders by ensuring that tables are cleared promptly and efficiently, drinkware and utensils are taken to be cleaned, and tables are reset quickly for the next guests. This behind-the-scenes role supports speedy food and beverage service, contributing significantly to customer satisfaction. Though not the primary point of contact like servers, bussers maintain a friendly demeanor and attentive presence that enhances the guest experience. Additional responsibilities include restocking dining room necessities such as utensils and napkins and occasionally assisting servers with delivering food. The position requires stamina to work long hours on one’s feet and the physical ability to lift moderate weights. Employees need to be team players, collaborating closely with hosts, servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to create a welcoming and efficient dining atmosphere. The Busser position pays between $16.66 and $18.50 per hour plus tips, depending on experience, with seasonal employment status. This role also requires employees to be ski or snowboard capable, as all on-mountain employees will be tested prior to starting. Working hours include evenings, weekends, and holidays during resort operations. Overall, this is a dynamic position suited for individuals who thrive working in a fast-paced, outdoor, and team-oriented setting while embracing the mountain lifestyle Crystal Mountain fosters.
