The Bus Person role at Gilley's is a crucial position that supports the smooth operation of the dining area. This role primarily focuses on maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of assigned sections and tables while working closely with Food Servers to enhance the overall guest experience. Bus Persons ensure that dining tables are effectively reset, supplies such as plates, silverware, glassware, and condiments are fully stocked, and the dining room remains spotless and inviting. This position requires an outgoing, upbeat personality capable of handling high-volume customer interactions while maintaining professionalism at all times. As a member of the Gilley's team, the Bus Person will be responsible for a variety of tasks that contribute to seamless dining operations. These responsibilities include removing dirty dishes and linens, replenishing water and coffee upon request, cleaning and sanitizing chairs and booth cushions, and ensuring that all dining surfaces such as tables and floors are free from spills and debris. The individual in this role will also handle routine guest complaints diplomatically and escalate complex issues to management swiftly to uphold positive guest relations. Additionally, the Bus Person will assist in maintaining the overall cleanliness of the facility, including proper disposal of items left by guests and adhering strictly to all company policies. The role demands physical stamina and the ability to work during busy service periods, standing and walking for extended hours. The Bus Person is also cross-trained in other food and beverage areas to provide flexibility and comprehensive support to the team when needed.
