In the role of Maintenance and Facilities Assistant at this McDonald's location, you will play a critical role in supporting the restaurant's operational efficiency by ensuring the cleanliness, maintenance, and functional upkeep of all equipment and facilities. This is a hands-on position where attention to detail, proactivity, and the ability to manage multiple maintenance tasks are essential. The role involves assisting managers and crew members with maintaining the interior and exterior of the restaurant to provide a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for both employees and customers.
Your responsibilities will include unloading delivery trucks twice a week, managing inventory and organization of storage areas, and carrying out cleaning duties for all areas including kitchen spaces, dining rooms, service zones, and outdoor premises. You will also be responsible for routine maintenance activities such as filtering oil fryers, changing light bulbs, cleaning HVAC and exhaust systems, and maintaining the parking lot and trash disposal systems. Having basic skills in plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and painting will aid you in handling minor repairs promptly, reducing downtime and supporting the restaurant’s operational flow.
This role demands a self-directed individual who observes restaurant needs and can develop and execute a plan for maintenance, cleanliness, and safety without constant supervision.
