As a Restaurant Manager, you will be instrumental in driving sales, controlling costs, minimizing waste, optimizing employee performance, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and cleanliness aligned with Burger King Corporation’s practices and company policies. The role demands a combination of leadership skills, customer service aptitude, and financial acumen. You will be responsible for working the front counter to ensure quality customer service, including product quality and availability. Strong communication and team-building skills are necessary as you will coach and train employees to handle customer interactions courteously and effectively. Regular meetings with team members and management will be conducted to plan, train, and evaluate operational and management procedures. Your goal will be to develop and maintain solid sales through strategic local marketing while carefully monitoring utilities, supplies, and other cost categories to minimize financial impact. A thorough understanding of Profit and Loss statements will be necessary to analyze financial performance and implement corrective actions. Inventory management will be a key responsibility to ensure food preparation and serving adhere to strict standards. Labor management is critical in this position, requiring the use of company-approved labor guidelines to schedule employees efficiently based on anticipated sales volume. Financial integrity is paramount; the restaurant manager must manage cash control meticulously, including daily bank deposits and adherence to cash handling procedures. Safety and regulatory compliance also fall under your purview, including timely reporting of accidents and incidents to Risk Management and maintaining an environment that meets or exceeds health department ratings. Uniform standards, cleanliness, and professional team image consistency must be upheld rigorously. You will keep the District Manager informed on hiring, promotions, and employee status changes, conduct employee performance reviews, and maintain personnel documentation in line with federal, state, and local laws. Administrative tasks, including payroll processing and applicant tracking, will also be part of your daily duties. Preventive maintenance is essential to ensure the proper functioning of building equipment and facilities, contributing to seamless restaurant operations. This position offers compensation based on pay bands, with additional incentives tied to performance and profitability. Employee candidates must pass background and drug checks where applicable. The work environment is dynamic, with exposure to varying environmental conditions and possible physical demands. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication, leadership, flexibility, reasoning, math, and computer skills to excel in a fast-paced, customer-focused QSR setting.
