The company manages and operates over 1,000,000 units and beds globally, with a real estate portfolio valued at more than $300 billion across nearly 250 markets worldwide, including offices in North America, Europe, South America, and the Asia-Pacific region. As the largest operator of apartments in the United States, Greystar boasts a robust institutional investment management platform with nearly $78 billion of assets under management, including over $35 billion of development assets. The company is committed to delivering world-class service in the rental residential real estate business, maintaining high standards of property management, and ensuring exceptional living experiences for residents. This particular role focuses on the maintenance and upkeep of residential communities managed by Greystar. The individual in this role supports the service team by routinely inspecting the property to remove litter, debris, and pet waste, helping maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety for residents and visitors. They also handle various operational tasks such as removing trash from vacant apartments, assisting in the make-ready process to prepare units for new residents, and performing minor service requests. The role entails changing locks as per property policies and ensuring that safety gates and other security features meet required codes and standards. In addition to maintenance duties, the role requires excellent communication skills to distribute notices to residents and report any hazards or potentially dangerous situations to supervisors. A key aspect is demonstrating strong customer service skills by treating residents respectfully, addressing their queries, and handling complaints related to maintenance services effectively. Compliance with Greystar’s safety and risk management policies is mandatory, involving participation in safety meetings, completion of OSHA-related training, and timely reporting of accidents or incidents. The role demands physical stamina to work in various weather conditions and perform tasks like standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders, and lifting objects up to 25 pounds independently and up to 50 pounds with assistance. A valid driver’s license is required to operate a golf cart on the property. The position has an hourly wage range of $18.00 to $20.00, with additional compensation potentially available through bonus programs based on individual and company performance. Flexible work schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays are expected. This full-time role offers a comprehensive benefits package including competitive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage; generous paid time off; 401(k) plans with company matching; paid parental leave; and other employee support programs.
