This role is based in Billings, Montana, at Billings Schools, located at 101 North 10th Street West, Suite 2. The position offered is a full-time cook role with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:00 pm. The hourly pay rate is $17.82, with an internal employee referral bonus available. The hiring process includes a text-based application system to facilitate easy access for candidates. As a cook at Chartwells K12, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals that meet established federal, state, and corporate standards. Your contributions will ensure that food served to students is delicious, safe, and appealing, supporting the company’s mission to improve student well-being through better nutrition. This position requires prior culinary experience and a commitment to food safety and cleanliness. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent teamwork skills, and a passion for providing exceptional foodservice in an educational environment. Duties include preparing food in accordance with standardized recipes and schedules, serving meals with proper portion control and temperature maintenance, cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment and areas, assisting with production planning and inventory control, and adhering strictly to health and safety guidelines such as HACCP standards. The role also involves attending safety meetings, reporting equipment issues, and upholding company policies related to safe handling of kitchen tools and food service practices.
