The Lead Cashier role at Ulta Beauty is a pivotal front-line position responsible for the efficiency and excellence of guest transactions while maintaining outstanding cashwrap standards. The Lead Cashier ensures a clean, organized, and appealing checkout area that reflects Ulta Beauty's commitment to a top-tier guest experience. This role requires someone with experience in cashiering who can train new cashiers and cross-train other associates. The Lead Cashier demonstrates leadership by influencing peers, driving performance in sales, guest experience, and loyalty—specifically credit sales—and consistently meeting the store's goals. They assist with open and close register functions, conduct associate exit inspections, and manage cashier chat ins and chat outs. - High school diploma preferred
- Two years relevant experience preferred
- Proficiency with technology such as Point of Sale systems and Apple devices
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to multitask and solve problems
- Availability for flexible work hours
- Ability to stand, bend, lift up to 25 lbs, and be mobile throughout the store during shifts
