The Barista position at The Children’s Museum represents an exciting opportunity within Levy's extensive network of unique venues. This role is hourly, offering a competitive pay range of $15.00 to $17.00 per hour, with attractive team member perks such as Instapay for early access to wages and high interest savings through the EVEN app. The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving coffee, espresso drinks, and related food and beverage items in accordance with high standards of quality and safety. They maintain cleanliness and organization within the service area while providing friendly and courteous service to every customer and team member. The role demands adherence to HACCP guidelines and other food safety standards to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for customers. As a Barista at The Children’s Museum, you will engage directly with customers by fulfilling espresso orders accurately, handling point-of-sale transactions, maintaining supply levels, and ensuring the attractive presentation of food and beverage products. You will also contribute to the smooth operation of daily meal services by keeping displays clean and equipment sanitized. • High school diploma or equivalent
• prior experience in food service or barista duties preferred
• ability to operate POS equipment and handle cash transactions
• strong interpersonal and communication skills
• knowledge of food safety practices including HACCP guidelines
• ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
