The role of a Brewista is dynamic and rewarding, blending excellent customer service with the skillful preparation of delicious drinks. Brewistas work closely with the stand management team and shift leaders to ensure smooth, efficient operations throughout every shift. This role requires a proactive and positive attitude, as Brewistas engage with customers, teammates, and vendors with genuine care and kindness. Whether it’s crafting a perfect coffee beverage, handling orders with accuracy, or keeping the stand clean and stocked, each task contributes to a welcoming and enjoyable environment. Brewistas earn between $13.50 and $22 per hour, including tips, reflecting the value we place on their contribution. This part-time position demands flexibility, as shifts may include early mornings starting at 5 a.m. and late nights until 11:30 p.m. You will be expected to bring your best self to work every day, demonstrating good hygiene, a clean appearance, and a friendly demeanor. We emphasize personal connections with customers and encourage Brewistas to engage warmly with everyone they serve. Additionally, understanding our menu in depth and offering helpful recommendations is an important part of the role to enhance the customer experience. Beyond brewing and serving, Brewistas handle payment transactions accurately, maintain the safety and cleanliness of the stand, and perform assigned duties such as stocking inventory and completing shift change checklists. The work environment requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Safety and respect are paramount — Brewistas must navigate the drive-thru area carefully and use tools like utility knives safely.
