The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving authentic coffee and espresso-based beverages, along with quick-serve food items like breads and pastries, all in adherence to company quality standards and health guidelines. Baristas will set up their stations meticulously, manage inventory and supplies, and ensure cleanliness and organization of their dedicated work areas. Beyond beverage preparation, successful candidates must excel at communicating drink ingredients and flavors to guests, fostering an engaging and informative service experience. The role also involves operating the cash register and using Point of Sale software with accuracy to handle transactions. Maintaining FIFO (First In First Out) standards for product freshness and safety, as well as collaborating with other departments such as the Pastry team, is essential to the smooth functioning of daily operations. Candidates should be prepared to follow detailed cleaning schedules, assist with deliveries, and stay busy during slower periods by restocking and completing side work. This job demands excellent multi-tasking abilities, a calm demeanor under pressure, and flexibility in availability, including potential weekend and holiday shifts. • Food handling license is preferred
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance
• Ability to lift and carry items weighing 10 - 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds on a regular (or occasional basis)
