We are currently hiring for full-time Barista positions at our CulinArt location at Stony Brook University, 101 Nicolls Road, Stony Brook, NY. This role is essential to providing an outstanding customer experience through the preparation and service of coffee, espresso drinks, and related food and beverage items. The Barista position demands a combination of hospitality skills, attention to quality, and the ability to interact cheerfully and efficiently with customers. Candidates must be prepared to work varied days and hours including weekends. Prior hospitality experience is required, with barista-specific experience preferred. Compensation ranges from $16.75 to $18.00 per hour, reflecting the importance of skilled beverage preparation and customer service. The Barista will be responsible for accurately preparing espresso orders, managing point-of-sale transactions, and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with HACCP and company guidelines. This position is customer-facing and requires the Barista to greet guests warmly, offer product knowledge, and maintain the presentation and quality of food display items. Employees are also expected to participate in stock replenishment, equipment cleaning, and upholding operational standards to ensure a smooth and pleasant dining experience.
