Barista - Full-time

The role of a Bakery Cashier at Village Bakery is a dynamic and customer-centered position essential to the daily operations of the bakery. The ideal candidate will ensure that all bakery products meet the highest standards of freshness by routinely checking 'sell by' dates and managing stock effectively. Duties include accurately labeling, stocking, and maintaining inventory of department merchandise, building visually appealing displays, and adhering strictly to all food safety regulations, including temperature controls and logging. The Bakery Cashier is also responsible for efficiently recording sales, managing cash transactions, and maintaining accurate monetary records, including minimizing cash overages or shortages. Additionally, the position requires proactive problem identification and solution suggestions, a focus on meeting store goals, and maintaining a customer-focused perspective by actively gathering and sharing feedback. Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends and holidays, is essential. • Ability to communicate with the public, hotel staff and management in a professional manner
• Computer and phone literacy required
• Must have the ability to bend, squat and frequently lift 25 lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
