The Barback position at Flight Club DC is a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operational flow and excellent customer experience at the bar. Reporting directly to the Assistant General Manager and classified as a non-exempt position, this role offers both part-time and full-time opportunities with hourly wages ranging from $10.00 to $17.95. The Barback supports bartenders by restocking supplies, maintaining a clean work environment, and delivering prompt assistance to guest needs. This role demands an individual who is energetic, knowledgeable about drink recipes and bar products, and dedicated to upholding Flight Club's values of initiative, thoughtfulness, excellence, and celebration. Barbacks play a critical role behind the scenes, making sure that the bar is fully stocked with necessary products and that the bar area is immaculately maintained to allow bartenders to work efficiently. The role includes ensuring garnishes and ingredients are prepared and accessible, kegs are changed without delay, and inventory is managed responsibly to minimize waste. Barbacks are also expected to foster a positive atmosphere by supporting teamwork and driving the social excitement that defines Flight Club.
