The Bakery Team Member role at Whole Foods Market involves key responsibilities that center around the preparation, counter service, and stocking of bakery products. The ideal candidate will be proficient in various baking techniques including cake decorating, dough mixing, baking, cooling, wrapping, and labeling. They are expected to maintain cleanliness and food safety standards according to FDA and Whole Foods Market policies, ensuring a safe and sanitary work environment. This position is more than just baking; it involves direct interaction with customers where excellent service and suggestive selling techniques are paramount. Team Members are encouraged to engage with customers and other team members on the sales floor to foster a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. They participate actively in production planning, especially during special holidays and events, and maintain operational efficiency through the use of production tracking systems like Datapax. Team Members must be punctual, appropriately groomed, and ready to contribute effectively during their shifts. This position offers an hourly wage range of $15.00 to $24.40, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package known as "Whole Benefits."
