Apart from these tasks, associates play a customer service role by assisting patrons with their purchases and responding to their inquiries courteously and efficiently. They are also tasked with decorating cakes and icing pastries, which adds a creative aspect to their duties. Additionally, Bakery Associates may receive cross-training opportunities to increase their skill set, including proofing and baking breads, rolls, and other bakery products, as well as proofing, frying, and finishing doughnuts. The nature of the job requires early morning availability to accommodate baking and frying schedules. While prior experience in a bakery setting is preferred, it is not mandatory, as comprehensive training will be provided.
