We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Baker/Pastry Cook to join our culinary team at Park Hyatt Aviara. This role is perfect for a culinary professional who specializes in laminated doughs, breads, pastries, and a wide variety of baked goods. In this fast-paced and dynamic position, you will be responsible for preparing and baking exquisite pastries such as croissants, Danish, and puff pastries, ensuring consistency and excellent quality in every batch. Attention to detail is essential, as you will measure and mix ingredients accurately, follow seasonal recipes, and adapt recipes based on ingredient availability. Maintaining a clean and organized work environment in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards is a critical component of this role. You will monitor baking times and temperatures to guarantee the optimal quality of baked products and collaborate with the kitchen team to develop innovative recipes and enhance existing offerings. The Baker/Pastry Cook will also assist with inventory management, including ordering and receiving necessary supplies, as well as maintaining baking equipment and reporting maintenance needs promptly. This hourly position offers competitive compensation ranging between $22.50 and $25.50 based on experience and education, with opportunities for growth within the Hyatt organization.
