This position involves the production and decoration of all baked and finished goods served throughout the property, including pastries, cakes, pies, plated desserts, breads, and cookies. A Baker here must have strong skills in following strict recipes and quality standards to ensure consistency and customer satisfaction. The role requires hands-on involvement in mixing, proofing, baking, and finishing a variety of baked products. Bakers are also responsible for maintaining their workstations clean and sanitary, adhering to department standards and ensuring food safety and quality through the proper rotation and handling of ingredients. This position demands technical proficiency with various bakery and kitchen equipment such as scales, upright mixers, steam kettles, stoves, sheeters, glaze machines, confectionery machines, heat lamps, deep fryers, broilers, and basic kitchen hand tools. Bakers are expected to manage their workstation based on forecasted occupancy, food outlet demands, and par levels while troubleshooting any product discrepancies to meet the company’s standards. Additionally, Bakers provide relief support to Sous Chefs and assist across kitchen areas when needed, showcasing the collaborative and flexible nature of the role. Starting between 6:00 am and 8:00 am, this role offers a pay rate of $18.00 per hour. It demands physical endurance such as standing for prolonged periods, bending, lifting up to 100 pounds using carts, and handling items weighing up to 50 pounds over shoulder height. Proficiency in cake decorating techniques, knife skills, and pastry bag handling is essential. The position requires that candidates can work various shifts including weekends, holidays, and any day of the week, ensuring smooth bakery operations around the clock. Must pass a background check and possess the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. • High school diploma or equivalent
• Applicant must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have knowledge of kitchen sanitation, operation, and maintenance of kitchen and bakery equipment
• Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift including holidays and weekends
• Must pass background check
• Must be able to bend, twist, turn, push, and pull a minimum of 100 lbs in a cart
• Must be able to reach above and below shoulder while carrying a minimum of 50 lbs
• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods or entire shift
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Must have flexibility in fingers and hands to utilize kitchen and bakery equipment
