This full-time position, operating from Monday to Friday between 6:00 am and 1:00 pm, offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills in a dynamic kitchen setting. The Food Service Worker will play a critical role in supporting daily kitchen operations and food preparation efforts. Responsibilities include preparing and assembling an array of hot and cold food items such as entrees, sides, salads, sandwiches, fruits, vegetables, and baked goods. Attention to detail is crucial, as following standardized recipes and adhering to portion control guidelines ensures consistency and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will maintain a clean and organized workspace, rigorously complying with food safety and sanitation protocols. This role also involves assisting with inventory tracking, restocking, and proper storage of kitchen supplies, as well as operating and maintaining commercial kitchen equipment like slicers, mixers, blenders, steam kettles, fryers, and chippers. Collaboration with coworkers, supervisors, and other team members is essential to keep kitchen operations running smoothly and efficiently. • Basic math skills such as addition subtraction multiplication division
• Ability to read understand and follow recipes
• Strong time management and multitasking skills
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and perform 2 handed carrying up to 60 lbs
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods up to 7.5 hours a day and perform repetitive tasks such as mixing cutting and stirring
• Capacity to work in varied environmental conditions including cold areas less than or equal to 65 degrees Fahrenheit hot areas greater than or equal to 80 degrees Fahrenheit and on concrete flooring
