The Sales Manager position at Bear Creek Mountain Resort is a pivotal role aimed at increasing group and food & beverage revenue by securing primarily corporate groups and programs. This role offers a flexible working arrangement, allowing the individual to work largely remotely while fulfilling on-site requirements as needed. The Sales Manager must be a highly organized self-starter who is detail-oriented, capable of developing new business opportunities, and fostering strong corporate relationships. They will collaborate closely with multiple departments within the resort to ensure an exceptional experience for clients, aligning with Bear Creek’s reputation for excellent guest service. As a member of the sales team, the successful candidate will focus on identifying and qualifying new corporate clients, conducting site inspections, presenting the resort’s offerings to potential clients, and negotiating all aspects of group sales including meeting space, catering, and guest room rates. This role requires maintaining up-to-date records in sales management software like Salesforce and Delphi, producing contracts, planning documents, and working closely with accounting for proper billing and payments. The Sales Manager is also expected to travel as necessary to meet clients and represent Bear Creek Mountain Resort at industry events and trade shows. Additionally, they will support the resort’s overall mission by ensuring all guests receive outstanding service and that client expectations are exceeded consistently. This position demands excellent interpersonal skills, leadership capabilities, and the ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment. Candidates should be adept at managing their time, possess strong communication skills, and demonstrate proficiency in relevant computer software including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Delphi FDC. The Sales Manager must be available during peak operating times such as weekends, holidays, and special events, supporting both remote work and a specified number of on-site days each month.
