The role of Safety Manager within Metrea is a key position accountable to the Accountability Manager. The Safety Manager leads the development, administration, and maintenance of an effective Safety Management System (SMS) to foster a culture of safety management, risk mitigation, and occurrence reporting throughout the organization. This full-time position based in Moreno Valley, CA, emphasizes risk and hazard analysis, safety assurance, promotion, and training. The Safety Manager is instrumental in ensuring operations adhere to the highest safety standards by advising executive management, facilitating hazard identification, and maintaining an active safety awareness culture across Metrea. This position requires leadership in implementing safety policies specifically for Metrea Strategic Mobility contracts, continuous improvement of the SMS, internal safety audits, and ensuring safety training meets high standards. The role is critical in influencing organizational priorities and embedding safety as a core value in every operational aspect, all while supporting collaborative efforts to meet strategic mobilization needs. The Safety Manager will be an advocate for safety excellence, ensuring compliance with ICAO, FAA regulations, and national safety requirements while managing safety risks through expert analysis and audit practices. This position demands exceptional communication skills, integrity, and ethical standards to maintain safety as a top priority in the face of operational pressures. The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree, possess extensive safety management experience within aviation operations, and maintain a Top Secret (or higher) clearance, ensuring they are prepared to operate within a sensitive and high-security environment.
