The Aviation Project Manager role at Barge Design Solutions offers a dynamic opportunity for an experienced professional to manage and develop aviation projects primarily located in West Tennessee, Mississippi, Northern Florida, and the Gulf Coast region. This position involves a hands-on approach in overseeing a variety of projects including runway and taxiway extensions, apron expansions, hangar and terminal construction, installation of airfield navigational aids (NAVAIDS), airfield lighting replacement, asphalt overlays, and concrete and asphalt pavement designs. The manager will also play a pivotal role in airport master planning and pavement maintenance projects. This role is ideal for someone eager to take on new challenges and lead innovative design processes from concept through to completion. The Aviation Project Manager will have the chance to contribute creatively to projects and foster an innovative design culture that places a high value on client relations and development. Responsibilities include business development, negotiating contracts, comprehensive project management planning, budget and schedule tracking, quality assurance implementation, and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships. The successful candidate will also mentor team members, ensuring growth and professional development within the team while embodying the core values of Barge Design Solutions. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, professional engineering registration, and 6 to 12 years of relevant experience including aviation engineering. Familiarity with FAA Airport Circulars, engineering design, bidding, construction administration, and airport management programs under the FAA and State block grant programs is essential. The candidate must be a collaborative team player with established relationships within the aviation sector considered a plus. Some travel is required to fulfill the responsibilities of this role. • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
• Professional Engineer registration
• 6 to 12 years of relevant aviation engineering experience
