The Field Engineer role at Ford AV is a hands-on position responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and fine-tuning commercial AV systems in diverse environments. This role requires traveling to various project sites both domestically and internationally to ensure systems are optimized for performance. Field Engineers will commission AV systems by running performance checks and verifying sound, video, and control system functionality. Troubleshooting on-site technical issues is essential to minimize downtime and deliver highly reliable systems. Responsibilities also include verifying and configuring system components, labeling connections, configuring IP-addressable devices, and completing detailed system handovers to clients. Candidates in this role will work closely with clients to provide guidance and ensure the deployed systems meet or exceed expectations. The position demands strong technical skills in AV system testing, control systems, digital signal processing, and basic networking. A willingness to travel frequently to support installations is required. The job requires physical fitness to handle equipment, work in various physical conditions, and perform duties such as climbing ladders, lifting heavy objects, and working in confined or dusty environments. This is a full-time position, with expected hours of 40 per week and a competitive hourly wage ranging from $29.00 to $36.00.   • Degree in engineering, technology, or related field - or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Experience testing and troubleshooting commercial AV systems
  • Familiarity with control systems and digital signal processing (DSP)
  • Basic networking knowledge (IP configuration, routers/switches)
  • Willingness to travel frequently (domestic and international)
  • Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to climb ladders up to 20 feet
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions, dusty or unclean environments, confined spaces, and on uneven surfaces
  • Ability to stand, walk, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl frequently
