The role offered is that of a Bakery Production Staff member within the Kalispel Hospitality team. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the high quality and consistency expected within the bakery operations at Northern Quest. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the daily production and preparation of various bakery items, including breads, pies, cakes, pastries, and fillings while ensuring compliance with internal controls and Northern Quest policies. This position requires meticulous attention to food safety, sanitation, and FDA compliance standards. A significant aspect of the role includes assisting the Pastry Chef and Pastry Cook II in bakery production, responding to special events, and specific venue requirements. Bakery staff members are also expected to test new products and recipes to keep up with culinary trends and business demands.
The role not only focuses on the technical aspect of baking but also on operational efficiency within the kitchen. Duties include careful measurement for proper portioning, mixing of doughs and batters, and ensuring bakery orders are fulfilled with quality and accuracy. The candidate must be adaptable as responsibilities and expectations may evolve according to operational needs. Employment with the Kalispel Tribe involves at-will status, meaning that either party can terminate employment at any time with or without cause, subject to adherence to company policies such as mandatory drug testing and background investigations.
                - High school diploma or GED
 - Culinary Arts or Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred
 - One-year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
 - Experience in a high-volume bakery preferred
 - Valid health card
 - SERVSAFE equivalent
 - Hepatitis A vaccination
 - Job offer contingent upon successful completion of background check and pre-employment screening
